If you are not able to get in at the lake, there is now a Holiday Inn Express in Rocky Mount (Note:web site not always reliable!), about a fifteen minute drive from the lake. (540) 489-5001.
Back at the lake...
Bernard's Landing Resort and Conference Center often has condos available for nightly, weekly and monthly rentals. (540) 721-8870

A waterfront Bed and Breakfast is another alternative:

Finally, there are many privately owned homes available for rent. Although we do not do property management (it is a specialty all its own!), we are on a first name basis with all the property managers serving the lake and are familiar with their inventories so if you e-mail us at info@SMLHomes.com with your specific needs we can put you in touch with a suitable renting agent.
